DAY 1
Start your wild adventures 5 days 4 nights amazon Tour in iquitos Peru Reception at: Hotel or Airport with a team member (Naturalist guide) will be there waiting to greet you, then we take a private car 2 Hours, approx. to go to Nauta City, (Nauta’s port located on Marañon River), then we will take our typical wooden roofed boat to sail 2 hours roughly toward to the amazon Lodge, along the rivers Marañon, Amazon, Ucayali and Yarapa, During this first navigation you might see some river birds, dolphins and river people activities.
DAY 2:
We start our day with an early excursion around 5 o’clock in the morning. At this time we can enjoy the beautiful sunrise and whatch out for colourful birds and monkeys.
After heading back to the lodge, we have a lovely breakfast with coffee, fruits etc. Our second excursion on day 2 will be a jungle trek. By walking in the primary forest you do not just have the chance to spot the wildlife, your guide will also share his knowledge about the high amount of medical plants. Further you will learn some basic survival skills in the jungle like finding food and water or biuilding a shelter.
In the afternoon we have an excursion by boat upstream the Cumaceba river searching for sloths, macaws (Aras), diffrent types of monekys etc. We also gonna pass by two beautiful lakes. On the whole trip you are surrounded by the amazing nature with its trees and waterplants. At night we do have a night boat excursion to search for caimans.
DAY 3:
On our third day we go on an excursion to the national reserve Pacaya Samiria. With an area of 2,080,000 ha, it is the largest National Reserve in Peru. Here we discover beautiful plants, trees, lakes and are surprised by the diversity of wildlife. We also visit “San Jose” an original jungle village. Here we can see how the people in the Amazon live. With many new impressions we return to our lodge in the evening.
DAY 4:
To start into our day 4 we have a rich breakfast before we go on our whole-day -excursion.
With the boat we drive 2 hours upstream on the Yarapa river until we reach to a beautiful jungle lake. On our way we have the posibility to see a lot of birds and monkeys. We will enjoy the beautiful nature and the different sounds around us. This time, we will not come back for our lunch to the lodge. We will prepare our food in the jungle. What an adventurous day that we will spend in the rainforest. After heading back to the lodge in the afternoon, we already have to spend our last night there.
Depending the season and our clients wishes, there is also the possibility to make camping overnight. Please let us know in advance, if you would like to have this option.
DAY 5:
After breakfast we gonna visit a lake, where we can find the famous giant waterlilies. As a last highlight of our 5 -days-tour we gonna try to fish some pirahnas, the most dangerous fish in the amazon river. If we are lucky to catch one, there is the possibility to try it for lunch. For heading back to Iquitos, we take the boat to Nauta. In Nauta we change to a car which arrives at arround 5 to 6 p.m. back in Iquitos
