Our

History

The dream of Aguaje Jungle Lodge was born without knowing it 10 years ago, when the leader kukama Alvis Silvano had the brilliant idea with others kukama families to build a rustic and confortable lodge for adventurer travellers in a quite area and surrounded primary forest with alot of wildlife to watch, the first cabin was built for touristic use, and it was not until December 2018 that we welcomed the first group of guests. Inspired by a dream, and in 2019 it had to be closed due to Covid 19, reasons that the dreams were fading and the hopes of following a dream of being part of this wonderful project. In 2023 with great force they decided once again to follow that dream of hosting tourists, and they began again the reconstruction of Aguaje Jungle Lodge which is managed by families of the Kukama ethnic group located on the banks of the Ucayali River. inspiration that were filled with enthusiasm to continue as an adventure lodge and expeditions guided by Kukama natives

OUR

Commitment

Thanks to the successful regeneration of our forest, we enjoy wildlife like monkeys or armadillos visiting, who find refuge in our locality. Motivated by this result, we remain committed to contributing to the regeneration of the Amazon.

We have expanded our work to environmental education for children, collaborations with the surrounding communities and working hand in hand with several institutions to expand our contribution on issues such as the carbon footprint or releasing wildlife.

Our Mission

Improve our environment through the implementation of an environmental regeneration model and ecotourism in our reserve

Our Vision

Aguaje Jungle Lodge aims to become the leading model for environmental regeneration in the Amazon. It works to replicate its experience on a big scale and having a real impact on our planet. To achieve this, we work hard on different local projects with economic, environmental and social impact that benefit our enviroment.
